SF SE and SF AI on Same Computer?

I have a new iMac (2 weeks ld) running OS 10.5.6 Leopard. At purchase time, I also ordered a new Epson Perfecto V700 Photo scanner. It arrived and was bundled with SF AE 6.5.0r4 which I installed. I also ordered an update of SF AI to the latest edition. It arrived on disc by mail yesterday from Lasersoft. The SE is installed as a Plug-in to PhotoShop CS4 (v.11) -- latest version.
Questions:
(1) can the latest SF AE and the latest SF AI coexist completely on the same iMac at the same time and both be plug ins for PhotoShop CS 4? Or should the SE be uninstalled, however that is done?
(2) I have used SF since the fall of 2001 and have an IT8 35mm slide target on hand which I got from LaserSoft in May 2005. It's pribted on Kodak Ektachrome with a bar code wit the numbers "E040712" beneath the code. It worked fine for me in SF AI 6 on an older Mac. Can it be used satisfactorily with the new SF AI which I hope to load into the iMac shortly, depending on replies to question 1?
Thanks very much for your help!! :)

It is absolutely no problem to install the SE and Ai version of SilverFast on one Mac.

We generally reccomend to exchange it8 targets after 2 years of use as they loose accuracy
in general you should be able to use all our targets with all scanners.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I've been on "pins & needles" since Sat., waiting for your reply when you reopened Monday (today). I'm in N. Calif; I presume you're in Florida or Germany.

One more question: can both SE and AI be in the same PhotoShop CS 4 plug-in folder at the same time?

Thanks! HWCWSL

Dear HWCWSL,

no problem you can use both the SE and Ai version of SilverFast from Photoshop, only one at a time though ;-)
Please note that you should update your SilverFast version to be used with Photoshop CS4 as we made some adjustments that may not be in the version you got on CD.
