Batch scan problem

Hi
I have a Plustek Opticfilm 7500i and have the latest Silverfast software version v6.6.0r4c. Running Vista.
I was scanning negatives and am now scanning slides and used the batch scan facility successfuly for some time. Even though the 7500i only scans 1 frame at a time the batch scan is useful for quick repetive file names and progressive numbers. However the batch scan has stopped working - when I press the 'save' button in batch mode nothing happens - the icon just blinks.
Is there anything I might be doing wrong?

Dear Customer,
could you please tell me what excatly you mean with batch scan ?
The Plustek Scanner does not support any automatically feeding of slides or movies.

In the Lasersoft software in the 'general' tab you can have 'normal' or 'batch' mode. When using batch mode you then scan and that is when pressing the 'save' button has no effect although it did initially. Then I have to return to normal mode

Dear customer,
The batch mode would only offer any advantage if you are using several frames.
It has no function if only a single frame is present.
Please use normal mode if you just want to scan single images.

Hi
The advantage it gives as I said in my first post is that the numbering and repeat naming is much faster in batch scan as I am scanning several thousand slides and negatives. It was working and is not now. I have tried re-installing the program and just want to have it working again!
