LaserSoft Imaging

I need to work SilverFast with microscope image.
I do not know how to get better Grayscale image and resolution for ?
Is anyone experience this purpose ?

OS: Win XP
Scanner: Leafscan45
Film: Electron Microscope Film 4489 and Electron Image Film SO-163

Until this time we have never experienced scanning Microscope film, for this reason we can not provide you with any tips, however I am sure anyone with such experience might help decidedly help you.
