Full suite - how well does it work ?

Hi,

I am contemplating purchasing the full 6.6 Suite to sort out colour issues with the round trip from scanner (Epson 4990) to printer (Epson 3800). I print as part of my work and recently have been getting a lot of watercolours which are giving me problems. Some scans come out perfect even when scanned in several pieces and stitched. Others seem to be impossible to match so I am assuming 6.6 suite would help matters.

Had a quick look round this forum but could do with feedback from people who are using the software. In particular I need to know that I will be able to profile papers such as Hahnemuhle German Etching, Torchon etc.

Cheers

Dear Crofter,

I personally carried out some tests with different photographic quality paper and even some art papers and the printer calibration worked. Tests with the papers you have mentioned have not been performed internally but the point of the printer calibration is exactly creating a profile for every ink, paper combination.

I believe feedback for other customers would be also valuable here.

Cheers

Is there nobody who can give me feedback ?

I generally purchase stuff based on reviews, forums etc wherever possible. This makes my decision an informed one and prevents wasting money. Whilst I am confident that this product does work as advertised I cannot download a demo to put it to the test as it requires an IT8 target.

Dear Crofter,

Alejandro Morales is absoloutly rigth our Printer Profiler is intended to work with all kind of different inks and papers and we have tested a lot of combinations with very good results. Maybe there is another customer with a similar setup like yours who can give some feedback.

best regards,
