Silverfast IT8 calibration and EZ Color

I received EZ color calibrating programm with my Epson V750 . With It I created an IT8 calibration profile.
In Silverfast options should I use this calibrated profile in "colorsync profiles : scanner (transparent)" or can I let the default "Epson V700 profile" delivered with the scanner and then use the "calibration IT8" offered by SF ? I do not really understand what SF do when It calibrates colors, does it create a real profile ?
I'm waiting for my Kodachrome IT8 target I've just bought and thanks a lot for this great software far better than the Epson one !

Dear Customer,
I you have the time I would wait for the target you just bought to arrive as is is much easier using the internal auto it8 calibration in SilverFast.
If you want to use the profile you allready created with EZ Color you would simply need to select it in the CMS setting of SilverFast as your scanners ICC profile.

Thank you. But How can I know that the scanner is calibrated ? Is it the small "c" in the "automatic image" switch ?
When I do the calibration for one scanner ICC profile and then chose another ICC profile, Have I to do another calibration with the new ICC profile ? And If I set back the first profile where I've used auto calibration will I need to do again a calibration ? I'm sorry to post such questions but "auto" tell me always "automatic obscure feature" and I need to understand this feature if I don't want to applie overcorections to my scans.
Thanks a lot

Dear Customer,
you are right the red C shows that an IT 8 profile is used but it also could be a generic profile supplied by us, once you do your own calibration the Auto IT 8 button in SilverFast will turn blue this indicates that you have calibrated the scanner with SilverFast.
If you go to the CMS dialogue and change between different profiles that you created you do not need to calibrate again as these profiles are the result of a calibration. Please note that you need to create new profiles from time to time to reflect the slightly changing environmental and mechanics of the scanner I would say calibrate once a month or just before a big batch or if you changed the location of the scanner.
