Silverfast AI disappointment

I have Silverfast SE which was bundled with my scanner. In a moment of madness I decided to upgrade to the AI version after downloading and using the demo for a short while. I also studied the comparison chart on the website and the extra features seemes worthwhile.
I did not realise though that the picture settings and the zoom function feature would be taken away when I entered my AI serial number.
I can see that the features of the picture settings window ie brightness and contrast can be adjusted elsewhere, in the histogram window for example but I cannot find anywhere a setting for a quick overall saturation adjustment.
I find it hard to believe that I have paid this amount of money and basic adjustment for brightness, contrast and saturation are not easily available.
I realise now that there was a waring about picture settings not being available when I started up the demo version but at the time not being familiar with the software it did not mean much to me.
