Cannot run Silverfast plug-in for PS CS3

Postby macmark » Wed Jul 16, 2008 7:27 pm

I am running Silverfast v6.4.4r7a on an Apple Macintosh running OS 10.4.11. I can run SF as a stand alone application, but cannot run it as a Plug-in to Photoshop CS3. I found on the support site that I need Silverfast v6.5.5r3 to run it as a PS CS3 Plug-in. But the most current Download version is the one I am running. How do I get v6.5.5r3? Thanks for any suggestions.

Dear Mark W.

you need to purchase the upgrade. For 6.4 to 6.5 it's not free.

I purchased the upgrade, downloaded and installed it. I can run the newer version as a stand alone application, but I cannot run it as a PS CS3 plug-in. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Dear Mark,

as you had SilverFast 6 installed before it could be connected to the "prefs" please delete them
the are located in /User Folder/library/prefferences/LaserSoft Imaging .
This should help, if you still experience problems it would be best to contact our Tech Support directly via the Support Assistent.

Hi Thomas

That fixed the problem and v6 now works perfectly. Thanks for the help!
