My initial excitement with the new printer calibration feature in SF 6.6.0 quickly turned to disappointment when the documentation revealed it would not work with film scanners. Although I do own a decent Epson flat bed scanner, I do not have a licensed copy of SilverFast for it, nor do I plan to purchase one just to be able to calibrate my printer. All my critical scanning is done on my Nikon film scanner; the Epson is used strictly for photocopying and scanning office documents into PDFs.

Since many of your customers will doubtless be in the same situation, I'm wondering if you are working on making this feature available to the rest of us.

your decent Espson Flatbedscanner as lang as it works with SilverFast, should be good enough to get your Printer calibrated, so that then you can scan with your Nikon film scanner and use the calibrated output from your printer. Also, please look into the improvement we have made for Nikon film scanner especially with reference to scanning KODACHROMES more efficiently and with significantly better Dynamic Range.
