overexposure

Hi everyone,
I have noticed that when I scan my negatives after clicking invert on photoshop many of them come out overexposed even if they are not and it takes lot of curves to correct it. Generally these are pictures with bright areas, taken on sunny days.
I always set Silverfast SE on 16 Bit HDR Grayscale to get a TIF file.
What do I do wrong?
Thank You.

Have you tried to use Negafix and select the type of negative you are scanning rather just making a straight scan and invert in PS ?
Perhaps this is causing the exposure issue ?

Try adjusting Negafix in expert mode. If they are mostly biased to the same extent, then this is pretty efficient.

Dear lestru
reading this, I get the impression the
negafix curve your dealing with needs correction. As you yourself unfortunately cannot achieve this (because the curves manipulation is only available in an
Ai version of SilverFast), please don't hesitate to contact support:
https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
We will need to know what scanner and
Negafix profile are in need of optimisation here. Thank you for your kind cooperation.
Best regards
