Slides: orientation detection not working

Hi all,

I'm using a Reflecta DigitDia 4000 for batch scanning of slides. With the new version v6.5.5r1 the set frames for landscape and portrait are mixed up and lead to corrupt images - see below:

Does anyone have a suggestion in how to overcome above issue?

Thanks and best regards,
rowerman

By the way: the new launcher v3 crashes if the language button is selected...

Orientation problem

Hello,

yes, I've got the same problem since the last or so version but since I've got SF HDR, too I take the easy way out.

In short AFAICT you've two options -- scan all as portrait and rotate manually with some application or with SF HDR and, of course, do not overwrite the originals straight away.

What did the job for me, too was to just open the affected images in SF HDR and writing them back to some other directory. In short the scans are alright but, for whatever reasons, are not displayed correctly up until the images were re-written.

Hope it helps but I don't know much, or in other words nothing - nada - zilch, about what variables in the file are to blame but at least there is no need to scan all twice.

I haven't file a bug report BTW for I simply care about it when having a second look to sort out what I finally don't consider worth keeping.

Cheers,
Juergen
