Which SilverFast for CanoScan 8600F?

Hi all! I've just learned from a friend about the wonderful features of SilverFast but am still unsure which SF is sufficient for my usage.

I am currently using CanonScan 8600F mostly to scan 35mm(single and pano) and 120 films. I'm comfortable using Photoshop to do any minor adjustment or enhancement. So is SilverFast SE Plus (Multi-Exposure) good enough? Does it support film(both formats) scanning? Or do I need the SilverFast Ai?

You help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :D

Dear cyanwater

both versions will scan anything on the flatbed. However, as the Ai lets you save a multitude of settings combinations for later re-use, you may find it more time-saving to work if you're often changing between different types of images you want to scan (e.g. 35mm, 6x7, etc.).

However the Ai would only feature Multi-Exposure in the Studio ME version, the corresponding feature pack version to the SE Plus.

I suggest you want to download and install the latest demo releases of both versions of SilverFast from our website and test for yourself.

Also, here's a comparative overview:
