LaserSoft Imaging

I am a graphic designer, using OSX 10.4.9 and an Epson Perfection 4990 and Photoshop CS3. I am confused about the differences in AI, AI Studio and AI IT8. My scans are used for professional printing purposes - not inkjet. So can someone help me figure out which software to buy? My scanner came with SE. Thanks.

The AI IT8 version comes with an IT8 target and the built in ability to automatically color calibrate your scanner. I think a calibrated environment is important for a Pro.
