LaserSoft Imaging

I just set up my Epson 4990 and installed SilverFast SE 6.4. This is probably a simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer. I am using OSX 10.3.9.

I am scanning through the import in Photoshop CS. Is there a way to set the preferences so after I scan, the Photoshop window appears again with the scan ready to work on? At this point it seems that I have to actually quit SilverFast (for some reason I can't hide it or send to the back), then I have my Photoshop window. Then I have to go out and find the scan and open it in Photoshop to work on. Surely there must be a simpler way to do this since I am scanning a number of photos.

is SF set to scan to file ? THat is what it sounds like is happening.

Would that be under Scan Mode? I have a choice of Normal or Normal (file). It seems to have defaulted to Normal (file). I will change that ans see what happens.
