I updated my flatbed version of SF to 6.5 and now the IT8 calibration features I had in my previous version have disappeared. Was the feature moved, eliminated what?

Where is the IT8 Calibration Button?

The detailed feature comparison of all SF versions (2007-01-31) says that IT8 Calibration is included but I'm not able to found it either! :(

I contacted LSI two days ago via the web formular and I'm waiting for response.

Wow, I forgot about this post. I have my IT8 now. I think they had to give me a new serial number but I don't recall exactly now.

I am in a similar situation.

I recently upgraded to the AI version because I needed the IT8 calibration feature, but there is no IT8 calibration icon on the version I have of AI?

I have emailed silverfast support and sales regarding this problem who seem unconcerned about my problem.

I guess that a new serial might rectify my problem, but how do you get a new serial?

LSI answered today, you would have to buy an IT-Option (USD139)...

I found out myself and upgraded yesterday. You get a new serial that will activate the IT8 function. :-)

Very nice except for the upgrade price...

I received an email from silverfast support today confirming that an upgrade was required for the IT8 calibration option.

But I would like to add that the silverfast website was very misleading in what version had what. I always presumed that the AI version had this option.

So take care on what you buy and to be honest there is very little benefit from upgrading from SE to the basic AI version anyway.

not a very happy silverfast customer!

I was looking for that information, too. It doesn't give any indication on the website that AI doesn't include IT8 calibration unless you buy the AI IT8 version.

In my opinion the software offerings are complicated and difficult to wade through, can't they make it more simple, with out offering 7 versions of the same software? In the meant time, the should make it clear on their website that only AI IT8 has automatic IT8 calibration.
