Dear users:

I have an EPSON Expression 10000XL with Silverfast Ai 6.

I want to scan in CIELab from WinXP but I can't choose it (I tried to change the settings but it was the same)

The option is in "gray"

I was searching in the forum about it but only found the next topic (similar but not the same problem I think, because in the user manual say I can choose CIELab option)

viewtopic.php?topic=3323&forum=31

Could somebody help me?

Thanks,
Le Mec

I don't believe it is possible to scan in LAB mode. I have SilverFast AI Studio and my only options are RGB and CMY.

But... Why?

The user manual say I can do it!

Thank you.

LeMec,

I stand corrected.

It does exist and it does work for me, so I have to change my previous statement.

I had never used the feature, so thanks for asking about it because I learned something new as a result! :D

Here is what I found in my manual and it works exactly as described:

I have heard that you may need to delete the entire C:\Documents and Settings\[your logon name]\Application Data\Lasersoft Imaging directory in order to correct problems sometimes.
