Silverfast 6.4.3r9 quits multiscan Job's

Yesterday evening I prepared some scans for a multiscan job using the jobmanager. It stopped after a few scans.

So I prepared a new multiscanjob for 24 negatives with a 4 time multisampling, for a overnight scan.

This morning I discoverred that none of the scans were saved and that Silverfast had simply closed down. Before starting the Job I checked if all jobs were selected.

My feeling with Silverfast is that is, that although it can produce very good scans, the behaviour of the software is very unstable. Before starting a job or scan I have to double check all settings, to be sure that it actually uses the right ones.

I also discoverred that when I used the rotate and mirror functions, the preview looks right, but the final output is still upside down...

Something else is that the frame numbering is very confusing. The frames are not numberred logically from left to right or something, but are orderred in the order I last touched them....?

Scanner used Canon9950F / windows 2000

Please check the settings of your densitometer tool. More information about how to make use of the densitometer in the manual (PDF, 1.2 MBytes).

I suggest you want to download and install the latest update release of your version of SilverFast from our website. You might experience that this already does solve your problem.

If not, please don't hesitate to contact support: https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html

I see what you mean. But when making an initial preview scan that consists of the full flatbed, there are two buttons on the left, that either rotate or mirror the flatbed. I use these functions because otherwise the order of the images on my Canon 9950F is unlogical.

But when using the densitometer you get a preview how the image will be saved and also allows correction.

Maybe it would be easier to create a setting the defines the orientation of the scanner, the orientation that Silverfast uses is different from what Scangear does.

For the other problems mentioned I created a support ticket "200603110194". I am using the lates version of SF 6.4.3r9.
