LaserSoft Imaging

I have AI Studio 6 for my Nikon Coolscan 4000 and am buying an Epson 4990 to do my 110 format on. It comes with SF6 SE.

I'll be upgrading my AI Studio but want to "play" with the Epson first to make sure it'll be a keeper.

Can I just install SE or do I need to move/rename my current SF AI folder first?

Any problems foreseen having both scanners on the firewire bus at the same time?

Dear Heinz.

It?s no problem to install both versions of SilverFast, since they are made for different scanners.
However, there might be a recognition problem, when both scanners are switched on at the same time. To avoid this problem you should switch off the scanner that you do not need.
