Multiscan Sample

Hey, I shared this with the tech folks at LaserSoft and thought I would post it here as well. I have a VERY MODIST scanner UMAX Astra 2200. I recently upgrade from Ai6 to the Studio version.

Here is a layered sample of a multiscan I did of an IT8 target. There are still a few streaks on the left side of the scan but as far as the noise goes, multiscan did a great job. The file is about 28mb so have some patience.

Dear mgilvey

do the streaks (this has nothing to do with multi-sampling and wouldn't be corrected by it unfortunately) occur at the very same position of any image on your flatbed (damage in the glass or certain reflection of the lamp due to a slight mis-angled position)?

Or do these appear at random, but often (problem with the step motor)?

Still: Fine scans :)

Hi Sonny,

I haven't checked if they occur at the same position. I cleaned the glass and (I think) the tube some time ago but perhaps I should do it again and try some more scans.
