Upgrade from SE to What?

I have purchased an Epson Perfection 4990 Photo scanner with the intention of scanning 30+ years of slides and prints. SilverFast SE was bundled with the Epson and it is excellent but I would like to upgrade. Would Ai Studio be sufficient?, as I also have digital images as well as film.
Undecided Tim.

Dear Tim
SE,
SE Plus,
Ai,
Ai incl.
IT8,
Ai Studio, and
Ai Studio incl.
IT8 option is the available range of SilverFast scanning software products.
To access a digital camera, you will need e.g. SilverFast DCPro, if you want RAW file format conversion.
SilverFast scanning software also offers to scan of raw CCD image data to a TIFF file (
HDR scan type) and work to further on it with SilverFast
HDR / DCPro.

Thank you Sonny,
Ai Studio will be my choice for scanned images and I will buy the download version. How big is the file, ie, how many Megabites?, because my internet connection is only dial-up with a download speed of 42-46kb/sec.
Tim.

Dear timjen
about 5.5 megs for Windows, 10.1 megs for Mac OSX.
Perhaps you want to acquire it per CD (about €20,- additional charge if I am not mistaken)? If so, I will ask sales for a
price.

G'day Sonny,
Thank you for your prompt reply. The CD version would be best because it would include the IT8 target, which is not available via download.
I am OK about the software costs, but how much would the freight costs be to Australia?.
Cheers, Tim.
