LaserSoft Imaging

I am very interested in purchasing Silverfast AI Studio for my Nikon LS 8000. If I buy and then later upgrade my scanner to a 9000, do I have to purchase a whole new program or would there be a special price. I simply cannot afford to pay $500.00 twice.
