Difference between SilverFast SE and SE Plus?

I've just ordered a Microtek ScanMaker i700 scanner which shows that it comes with SilverFast SE. While I'm waiting for the scanner to arive, I've been reviewing the SilverFast website for information on the software. I see there is an upgrade available for the SE Plus version for US $20, however, I've not been able to find a "feature comparison" between the SE version and the SE Plus version.

Is there a webpage on the SilverFast website that I've missed that shows a product comparison between these two versions? If not, can someone summarize the differences between the SE and SE Plus version? I may be interested in getting the SE Plus version for the $20 cost, but I'd like to know what it offers that the SE version does not.

Thank you.

Dear hemo2

thank you for your interest in LaserSoft Imaging's software products.

SE Plus features additionally:
AACO - Auto Adaptive Contrast Optimisation
Extended print dialog with copy function
Unsharp mask PLUS
JPEG 2000 support (16bit compression)
Multi-Sampling

These things special about SE Plus are described in the SE Plus product page: https://www.silverfast.com/show/silverfa ... us/en.html

Thank you Sonny. At first glance of these features it looks like it would be worth it to me to get the Plus version. Once my scanner arrives and I get a chance to have first hand exposure to it, I'll probably upgrade.
