We bought a new scanner at work, and I also requested we get iT8 calibration targets for the scanner. I asked the manager if I could take the targets home for a night so I could use it with my SilverFast 5.2.0.
I start SilverFast just to find I don't see the iT8 calibration icon on the left side of the scan window. Is this not available unless I get the upgrade from LaserSoft directly. Is it additional software that is needed or is it hidden somewhere within SilverFast?
Thanks in advance for any feedback

IT8 was/is only avalaible as an add-on with some scanners.
What scanner do you use?
What version number of Silverfast are you using?

I have an Epson 1200U with the trans adapter (GT 7600TPU) and I'm using SF 5.2.
Running on a Mac G4 I hope to get the 1680 once SF and Photoshop are OSX compatible.
Ian I appreciate your tutorials a lot, they have been very helpful.

IT8 is available for the Epson 1200U (I have one of these) but it is an optional extra. You'll need to contact LaserSoft to arrange purchase of the IT8 version.

Sounds good Ian, I really appreciate the feedback. Besides knowing you have a 1200U I'm assuming that it is considered a pretty good scanner for the price. I've had some ver good experiences with it primarily when using the Trans.Unit.
The reflective though has not been that great for me. Especially when setting up the Stylus 1200 printer for output.
Once again Ian I continue visiting your site and enjoy the information you have posted.
Cheers!
