I have problems with the output formats, when I have for example an image with 20 cms heigh 25 cms original size, when I want to keep this size, I type in the scale section 100%, but suddenly I hear a 'bleep' and the scale has been changed.

So for now, I haven't got any problems to calibrate my scanner with the IT8 targets, but a simple thing won't do.

Is their someone who can help me on this saturday morning

set the PPI manually and then down sample the image in Photoshop or the like. Otherwise, you have to know the output LPI/dpi required for the printer, display etc. to get the correct size. For example a CRT requires only 72 PPI sampling for a 1:1 image. An inkjet printer may require around 300 PPI to get the same 1:1. Otherwise the printer driver is resampling up/down.

And yes, this feature is a little weird until you read the manual and play with it.

I have approximately 3,000 - 4,000 images per month to scan. I do not want to have to open each file in PhotoShop to do the downsampling - this adds additional steps and injects a slowdown in the the workflow. Is there a chart that I can acquire that will helpme calculate what my PPI needs to be to achieve the correct scale @ 300 dpi print resolution? Each frame can be set to a unique scale value, so I can just copy a frame if I'm batch scanning and want to apply it to all images on the bed.
