Does IT8 target come with Ai upgrade?

I currently have SE bundled with Plultek 7200 slide scanner. If I upgrade to Ai, which says it includes IT8 Calibration, will I get an IT8 physical target included in the price ($129US for upgrade)? If so, how do I select Kodak or otherwise? One seems to have to supply a credit card number to advance. I am afraid to do so as I do not know if IT8 target is included.

Dear customer,
the normal Ai upgrade doesn't include the IT8 target. You will need to order it seperately.
kind regards

Thank-you for your prompt reply. I went to the page to upgrade from SE to Ai (pricing) and it indicates that IT8 Calibration is included ("Upgrade with IT8 Calibration"). Would that not include the target as well? Also, I had emailed the Sales area and the following is the email repsonse:
Dear Stan,
You will receive a target if you order SilverFast Ai with IT8 color
calibration.

Cmanph57,
I thought the same thing, but the response you received did not take in to account that you upgraded from SilverFast SE to AI. Purchasers of the full version of AI do get the IT8 Target as part of the package, but people like you and I who upgrade do not get the IT8 Target for free.
I believe the "Upgrade with IT8 Calibration" is talking about the functionality Vs the actual target. Again

Thanks for your reply RAG.
Yikes. So if I pay $129US to upgrade, I get Ai plus the Calibration Software but not IT8 target which cost $50US extra. If I pay $149US to get Ai alone, I get Calibration Software plus the IT8 target. Why did I upgrade?

IT8 Targets are not cheap, I know! I upgraded to the additional functionality of the application and it was not until recently that I knew there was an IT8 bundle. I inquired about it and found out what I shared in my previous post.
Maybe some day this will change, right?

Well, my point was it appears that I should have simply bought Ai outright for $149 which seems to include a target, rather than upgrade from SE to Ai for $129, and have to pay $50 extra for a target.
I wonder if I can cancel the upgrade transaction, and replace it with a straight purchase of Ai.
A technical question: I notice that the Slide targets are all based on Ektachrome. One can purchase a Kodachrome based target, but only at B&H from what I can find. Also, there is fairly strong advice that one does need a Kodachrome target given the significant difference that this film poses. I wonder why SilverFast does not offer a Kodachrome target?

Dear Stan,
the IT Option (package) is always an extra, which is sold seperately. As long you don't have a filmscanner version which already supports IT8.
kind regards
