I recently upgraded to A16 from the bundled Se 6 on line. In the future if I wish to upgrade Ai6 to a later version which serial # do I use? I don't beleive the online upgrade included a new serial #. Thank you

Dear Ted.
SilverFast SE and SilverFast Ai do use different serial numbers. You should have received an Ai serial number with your online upgrade. If you have serialized your Ai version, you can see that serial number in the credits dialog (click the "i"-info button in the preview to open the info dialog and then click the credits button).
For upgrades to your Ai version, please always use the Ai serial number.
Best regards

Silverfast update serial #
I downloade the uprgrade and did not observe a serial #. I also received a thank you email from lasorsoft thanking me for my purchase, but no serial #. I didn't understand your instruction for finding it, can you please try to simplify your explanation.
Thank you for your help;

Is your SilverFast Ai version serialized?
If you didn?t serialize, you should see watermarks in the scanned images.
If you did serialize, here is the way to find the serial number:
- Open SilverFast
- Click on the "info" icon (this is the top most icon on the left side of the preview with the letter 'i' in it). The info dialog opens now.
- On the bottom right side of the info dialog, you should see a few buttons. One of them is labeled "Credits". Click on the "Credits" button to open the credits dialog.
- In the credits dialog you should see your serial number in the bottom line.
If you are sure that you never received a serial number for Ai, then I would guess that Ai is not serialized, because you can?t use the old SE serial number.
It might be the best to contact our sales department at sales@silverfast.de to find out why you didn?t receive a serial number for Ai.
