Understanding RAW File Processing

Greetings,

I am trying to understand the workflow process for dealing with a large batch of images (using DCPro Studio).

1. I look at my images in the VLT.
2. I decide I want to build a web based contact sheet which I will make in another program but I want to process all these image to a different size. So, I select all and drag them into a new Album.

3. I click the green start icon and they are processed from RAW to TIF (if I read correctly.

Now what do I do?

I'm under the impression that I can add my photos to the Job Manager and have them all processed to the size and color correction I want but how do I set that up? Do I open a single image into DCPro (by double-clicking it on the VLT), set the specs, save the specs and then select those specs from the job manager? Do I add the images to the Job Manager straight out or do I need to process them in the album first. What happes to the images after they are converted in the album?

I have confused myself I'm affraid. Been reading through the manual both hardcopy and PDF but I'm not getting it I guess.

Dear mgilvey.

Thanks for the interest in our software.

Don?t worry, be happy because there are Quicktime tutorials. This one will give you a better idea of the Jobmanager. It is really simple and not complicated --> http://www.silverfast.com/show/jobman/en.html

Best regards.
