Updates for bundled SF Ai 6.0

I'm sure that this question must have been answered previously on the Forum, but I'm unable to find it here or in FAQs.

I've now become interested in buying a Microtek ArtixScan 4000tf film scanner, which comes bundled with Silverfast Ai 6. I have been very happy with Silverfast Ai 6 (now 6.1.Or5) which I purchased for use with my Epson 2450 flatbed.

I presume that the bundled Ai 6 is the full version of the software.

The Silverfast software for this scanner is now at version 6.2.3r3. Are version 6 updates free for the bundled Ai? Also, should any intermediate updates precede the latest?

I would be grateful for this information.

Dear Felix.

Also bundled versions of SilverFast can be updated to the most current version for free but only within the same major version number. This means if you have version 6.1.0, you can update to version 6.2.9 (some times in the future) without any additional cost.

There is no need to install intermediate versions. When updating, just update to the newest version.
