Digital ROC v1.2.1 and Silverfast AI6

Postby MicroSF6 » Mon Sep 06, 2004 12:50 am

I'm trying to use ASF's Digital ROC plug-in to restore the color in some very old Ektachrome/Kodachrome slides. After scanning as usual, I apply the ROC and invariably the result is unsatisfactory--I gain A LOT of contrast. Using Artixscan 4000tf w/iBook OS 9.2 and Silverfast AI6. Without the ROC, my scans and subsequent prints are fine--but I don't get the color restoration I'm after!! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

in SF Ai, Selective Color Correction (the sixth button across the top) has a function called ACR Adaptive Color Restoration. it will probably do what you're looking for.
