Silverfast 6.1.or5 and Scan Pilot

Have recently purchased an Epson 4870 which came with Silver fast. Have follow the video tutorial but it gives no mention of the Scan Pilot. How am i to use this? Thanks

Dear Nina MacLaren,

please try to switch on the SCAN-PILOT with the button with the little red plane on it next to the prescan window.

it is almost self educating with it's dialogs.
