Working w/Win XP 1.5 GB ram and Photoshop CS when scanning 6x7 transparencies and wishing to use the "Multiple Scan" option to reduce noise in the scan we encounter distortion which results in only a small section of the 6x7 being scanned regardless of how the crop marks are set.
We wish to scan full frame and instead get a very small and distorted section of the 6x7 image! The scan time will ofter take 5-10 minutes to finish...but each time the result is the upper left corner that has been scanned and that corner is very distorted! The resultant file size is where it should be...300-500MB in size but only a distorted corner.
When we do adjust the crop guides in Silverfsat the distortion decreases and more of the image is in fact scanned properly. If we crop "way in" there is no distortion at all and the cropped image is in fact scanned w/no problem.
Also if we choose only "2" as the multiple scan option all is well. Only when we choose 4,8 or 16 (which we prefer) is there a problem.
I have 3 jpegs I can send which will, I believe, clearify the issue.
Thank you,
Jack Yonn
