SilverFast Ai with multiple scanners?

Hi,

I'm a brand new to SFAi, and I have what I hope is a simple question.

We have a Nikon SuperCoolScan 8000 as well as a MicroTek 9800XL in use on the same system (a dedicated scanning system, PowerMac G4, OS X). Is it possible to use SilverFast Ai for both scanners? We don't do simultaneous scanning on both units, so that's not the issue; I just want to know if, since the software came with the MicroTek scanner, we can use it with the Nikon as well, or if we have to purchase a separate license for it to work with both on the same system. We won't be purchasing a second license for the same system, as it seems a bit ridiculous to me, so I hope this isn't the case.

This occurred to me when I downloaded the update using the MicroTek scanner in the registration process, but when I tried to use the Nikon as the scanner in the download list, it wouldn't let me.

The software is different for each scanner. i have a Microtek and a Nikon. Two different versions of Ai. The software is different depending on what the hardware supports and what Silverfast can get from the vendor (Nikon in particular)
