Silverfast + Epson 4870 + ICE

Does (or will) Silverfast SE 6 or Ai 6 support the ICE function now available on flatbeds like the Epson 4870 or Microtek i300 and upcoming i900. If it doesn't but you plan to add this in the future, will an upgrade be available to people who buy these scanners now or will they have to buy an upgrade to Silverfast 7?

Dear Doug,
the ICE function is in SE and AI also supported for this scanners.
As it is a hardware function it should not depend on Silverfast, more on the manufacturer.

Dear Doug,
the above statement is not totally true. The current SilverFast
Ai version for the Perfection 4870 fully supports the ICE capabilities of the scanner, but at the moment we do not support it for the i300 and i900, as it is not only dependent on the hardware, but also on the software (not considering some licensing issues, too).
