If I do a 10-step calibration, do I still set the pull-down menu in the CMS tab to "Calibration" or is that pull down looking for the calibration info for an IT8?

The CMS settings "scanner -> intern" "Calibration" is only to use internal Profiles of SilverFast, which are generated by SilverFast IT-8 calibration. This option is removed in version 6.0.2r40. Now we have a full ICC Profile handling.

kind regards

Well, I guess the answer for me (using SF 6.0.1) is that it is looking for IT8 information, or, perhaps I need to elaborate...first, I don't have the IT8 target and calibration software yet, though I am planning on getting it. I have a 10 step greyscale image (not Taz's version, but one that was made for me in a pro photo lab. It's not perfect but better than not having anything at all) and after I go through the calibration routine outlined in SF The Official Guide for a 10 step chart, will "Calibration" under "scanner -> intern" target the calibration I just made under SF 6.0.1? I'm guessing it won't if I understand. What do you think?
