You could output raw files from the scanners, attach a profile, and use HDR to make adjustments and then to PS.

Then download the demo for your scanner and try it out. HDR will work much the same , with a few exceptions (ICE for example) that are hardware dependent. i use Ai with my CS4000 and old Microtek E6, output to HDR, and then to PS using a color managed workflow (IT8 option on both scanners. You can get it for HDR if you want to generate profiles there instead.)
Rumor has it that DCPro is HDR with added features for digital cameras. i would confirm that with Lasersoft though.
