Hi
Having read about Silverfast, I decided to try out Silverfastt SE, and downloaded SFTWE-6.1.0r7(Epson-iSE).exe & SF Launcher.
The Silverfast software installed OK, and when I started up Photoshop Elements I could select the new TWAIN driver, however, this one didn't give me the option of scanning transparencies (as the Epson driver does).
I couldn't get the launcher to work as it kept asking me where the plug in was, and despite navigating to the folder where Silverfast was, I couldn't persuade it to work.
On the offchance I then tried the version for Photoshop - which luckily was compatible with Photoshop Elements - and also put the launcher on my desktop - so that I can launch it outside Elements. It also includes the ability to scan transparencies.
Did I do something wrong when I installed the Twain driver and Launcher originally?

Dear Emma.
SF Launcher only works with PhotoShop plugins. This is the reason, why you couldn?t use the TWAIN plugin.
Actually, I don?t know, why the TWAIN version didn?t find the transparency unit. There are some differences between TWAIN and PS plugin (such as limited color reliability and output conversions). The transperency unit should work fine in both types of plugins. Anyway, the PhotoShop version should be the prefered choice.
Eric.
