Correcting the colors of scans from a commercial photo lab

This is really a pre-sales question. My slides are scanned by a local lab on a Noritsu scanner. Suppose I buy a color calibration slide and ask the lab to scan it as a TIF file that I can open in PhotoShop. From past experience, the colors will not be true to the original slide, when viewed on the monitor and when printed. I would like to figure out a procedure for correcting the colors of the calbration scan and then I would hope to apply the same procedure to all my scans from this lab. Is there a SilverFast product that will help me? L.W.Hunter

Dear lwhunter.

Theoretically it would be possible to create an icc pofile with Silverfast DC-Pro with some support/help from your lab.
I suggest asking the lab to provide a profile embedded in their scans.

Kind regards.
