1. To all the silverfast folks, thanks for coming out with the new version of silverfast ai (I was having problems with SDR and making selections).

2. Problem: Now that I've installed the latest update, my cpu no longer boots up. Why do I think it's related to the latest silverfast ai?
a. the problem didn't exist prior to upgrading.
b. when i put the polaroid extensions (polaroid 120) into the "disable" folder, the computer starts up fine.
c. the only other software i recently installed (efax), i deleted that from my harddrive.

3. Request: is there any way I can download the silverfast 6 version PRIOR to the current one? I looked at the website and can't see any way of doing so.

Clarification:
1. Scanner: polaroid SS 120
2. Mac 9.1
3. Silverfast v602r20
4. I just spent around 1hr messing with various things and this is what I know:
a. when the polaroid extensions are OFF--> i'm able to turn on the scanner, with no freezing. however, i can't run silverfast because it doesn't recognize any scanner.
b. when the polaroid extensions are ON--> when i turn on the scanner, the computer then freezes.
c. there are around 5-6 polaroid extensions--> the one that freezes things up is the "polaroid SSFW expert". the other ones don't freeze up the computer, but also when i run silverfast, it doesn't recognize the scanner.
5. i reinstalled the current silverfast ai 6--> still the same problem. i assume there's some bug with the new version, because the prior silverfast was working ok (other than the SDR issue).
6. as stated above, until a new bug free version comes out, please tell me how to download the prior version of silverfast.

I just did a quick test and installed the Polaroid 602r20 update. There is a bug in the installer, but the bug is, that NO EXTENSIONS are installed under OS 9. So it's unlikely that the installation of the 602r20 update was responsible for the fact, that you cannot boot anymore.
We will fix the installer to again include the needed Polaroid extensions; in the meantime you can download the demo (it's a 602r10), which does include the needed extensions. So you can try to remove the Polaroid extensions you currently have (which prevent you from booting) and install the demo, which should give you fresh copies of the extensions. Hopefully afterwards everything is OK and you can use the 602r20 update.

1. tangential question: when i download the current version of silverfast, there's also this download option for the latest negafix profiles.
2. question: if I download the current version of silverfast ai, does it include the most recent updated negafix profiles or do i have to download the negafix profiles separately?
