Disappointing color in Ai6

I started using Ai6 with my new Microtek 4000tf scanner last week. I'm using an Apple iBook with OS9. I'm confident I have correctly calibrated the scanner using the Kodak Q60 target that came with the scanner and following the tutorial for IT8 calibration supplied by Silverfast. I'm using some 30 year old Ektachrome slides and here is what I notice: With the exception of greens, the scans are generally pretty good, although the color balance is a bit blue compared with the originals. As for the greens, they consistently lack vibrancy and have a consistent yellow tinge. As one who is new to scanning, am I wrong in believing that the scan should be "right on" when compared to the originals? I realize there are controls to manipulate color, but how close should the raw scan be to the original? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It could be, that the wrong colors came up on the monitor . Did you calibrated the Monitor. Also difference in blue/yellow is in some cases a colortemp. problem. Did you check the slide on a 5000K lamp ?
