Upgrade SE6 does not run.

Hello,

I just bought on line the upgrade for SE 6.
The download I've got is named SFE-6.0.2r08(NikonSF-iSE).bin..bin and it has a Windows icon.

It does not install when clicking on it. I get an error message that it can not run because .bin is not valid for Windows.

I've already changed the extension from .bin to .exe and to .zip, but nothing works.

Can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you.

Regards, Matthew

Dear Lucky.

It seems, you have downloaded the MAC plugin. I have visited our WEB site for Nikon updates to SE6 today and tried to download a plugin for the LS2000. In fact there is only the choice to download MAC versions.

I?ll inform our WEB admin, bu I remember that he mentioned yesterday, that he is working on the problem.

Which scanner do you use? Is it a LS2000 or LS30?

Eric.

Thank you very much for fast your reply Eric.

I do not understand how this could happen. I followed all the instructions very carefuly and I'm sure I chose the Win version.
The download said "No OS support". That's Mac is it not? So it should be the Windows version.
Can you please tell me where I can get correct download?
I use a LS 30 scanner and have the SE5 software (no bundle, I bought that on line also, some time ago).

Kind regards, Matthew.

Thank you for your reply.
I contacted support and they also told me that.
The Windows version should be on line next week or so.

However I find it very confusing.
If you follow the download (update) instructions, it just says:
"support SCSI" (since I have the LS 30, I have SCSI) also it says
"does not support OS-X "(well, that is Apple and I do not have that).

I believe I'm not realy to blame for thinking that this is the correct download for Windows.

It is not a big problem. I can wait untill the correct update is available, but I do hope they will remember that I already paid for it.

Regards,

Matthew
