I was wondering about changing my Nikon 4000ED over to silverfast Ai. I have also a new Epson 3200 with bundled Ai6. Does this count?

Presumably there is a way to install drivers for the respective scaners without the whole product. Can I just buy the driver??

You'll need to purchase a completely new version. I don't know if a discount is available for the changeover you propose.
