Just bought an Epson 1200 Perfection scanner. Presently using with the (Epson) supplied Twain software.
Wondering about Silverfast for this scanner.
What benefits?
Why a Twain, Photoshop & Raw (HDR?) versions?
Are all above included when I purchase?
If not, which is best to 'start with?'
Could all be installed together without conflict? Or, what workarounds exist?
Thanks.

If you have the Epson "1200" then it is NOT possible to scan in anything but 8-bit colour therfore HDR is pointless.
If you purchase SilverFast for the Epson 1200 then the CD will contain both the Photoshop Plug-in and a Twain version.
So far as benifits go. The Epson software is quite limiting when compared to the facilities offered by SilverFast. However, I suggest that you download a demo version and form your own opinion.
