Job Manager won't Run/Save

Hi;

I am running SF 6.0.1v25 for Polaroid 4000+ on Mac OS10.1.5. All works fine except now I am trying to scan a large amount of slides and have set up Job Manager to do the process.

Again all works correctly, scans are prescaned, and corrections applied, then saved. I have 8 slides in the que.

But when I go to "Start" the scanning it goes to the first slide, goes through what looks like the correct process (scanning to file, etc.) then stops and goes back to the job Manager window. It doesn't save it to file ( I have selected a folder), nor does it continue to scan the rest of the jobs.

While scanning, only the first job shows a yellow "led", the rest show nothing, and after the scan the yellow doesn't change to green.

I have read through the manuals and believe I have everything set right. I have scan mode set to normal (not batch), although I also tried scan to file without any difference.

Please help, I have a lot of work to get done.

Jack Connick :cry:

Try Ian Lyons' tutorials 4 and 5 on batch scanning and jobmanager. Ian's tutorials are based on Mac and the SprintScan 4000 and 120 series film scanners.

Yes, I've followed them. Something isn't working correctly.

I got it to work. At least with 4 slides in one holder.

There is still some irratic behavior, especially with the Previews. I'm noticing also that ACR does some wierd things after I saved it as part of a custom Settings file, if I want to tweak it, all of a sudden the preview goes B&W. This only happens while in Job Manager mode (although I guess it could be an anomally with saving ACR with a settings file). Overall, it seems that Job Manager is a little less than robust, IMHO.

I haven't been able to get it to work with multiple holder loads. I have 2 holders and I'd like to set up both into one job. I guess the work around would be to create multiple jobs and run them together. It's really not clear in the manual how you can add more than one holder load into the que. I tried just ejecting the holder, loading another and adding and editing it. That is when it wouldn't save or run.
