Opening SF Plugin in PS7 causes blue screen

SF Ai and HDR v. 6 plugin for PS7, Windows XP, Firewire, Polaroid SS 120

On occasion, opening the SF v 6 Plugin in PS7 results in a blue screen with the message that the system is being shut down to prevent damage to the computer. The message goes on to say that recently installed hardware and software should be uninstalled and changes made to the BIOS. This seems a bit radical to me, in that the plugin works perfectly once it loads completely, and no shut down occurs while I am going through the SF algorithm. I have not determined the specific cause of the blue screen, but I have noticed that when my scanner is turned on and the film carrier is engaged, the SF Plugin loads normally, at least so far.

Does this activity suggest that I should uninstall and reinstall SF? Any recommendations would be welcome. BTW the SS 120's native software plugin, Polacolor Insight, loads without any problems 100% of the time regardless of the film carrier status.

Thanks,

Jim
