IR scanning problems

I experiment some persistent problems with my scanner when trying to use IR dust removal within silver fast softwares given me in bundle by epson with the scanner v800.
I was wondering if I am the only one having this issues and if they are due to the software or hardware.

Conditions: scanning negative b&w 24*36 Tri-x Kodak 400 film
Output: something that remembers the original image but it seems that in most of the points the correction went wrong and created a kaleidoscope effect of the picture.

Dear user,

Silver Halide based B&W film unfortunately can not be corrected using iSRD. The emulsion blocks the scanner's infrared channel.
For this kind of film you can use the software based SRDx correction.

Kind regards,
Arne

Thank you, sir for the answer.
How can I get this different type of correction?
Is it an option of the silver fast?

It is included in our latest SilverFast update. You need at least SilverFast 8.8 and it will be shown below the iSRD icon.

Kind regards,
