Hi from Paris and excuses for my approximative english...

I want to buy a Canon scanner (the terrific D2400UF, with 2400/4800DPI), but that one is not opptimized for your Silverfast 5.5.

My first question is: In case I purchase the HDR version (which is supposed to work with any scanner), what is exactly the difference between adjusting the scanned image whith Photoshop right after the scan, and preparing it before whith HDR?
Photoshop is so powerfull!...

Second question: What's the price of the HDR in France? (I cannot reach the prices page on your site)

Last question: Does HDR have the "Negafix" option?

i am using hdr and it's just great! it renditions very accurate colors shadows and contrast and conversion of 48bit to 24bit data is accurate in hdr!it also has neg fix

I'm a beginner too, fairly new to photoshop and very new to Silverfast. Keep seeing reference to hdr, but don't know what this means. Is there a reference or web page where I can learn more about this option?

HDR is a version of Silverfast that doesn't require the use of a scanner. It's exclusively for making adjustments to raw 48-bit scans and high-end digital camera files. You bring the files into HDR, and make all of your adjustments to the image in 48 bits, and then save it out as a 24-bit file for use in PhotoShop, etc. It's great for people who's scanners support Raw 48-bit scans, but not Silverfast, or for people who are into getting the maximum image out of their scanner, and don't mind taking the extra steps and time to scan and then import it into HDR.
