License Question

Postby albertj358 » Sat Nov 12, 2016 3:10 pm

Does the current SilverFast 8 license permit installing a second copy onto a notebook? I have two scanners licensed for SF8, and have a need to connect one of them to the notebook, which would then be taken to family gatherings for the purpose of capturing photos that family members are unwilling to lend me. (It would be seriously difficult to drag my desktop along). I've been scanning family pictures for over six years, and have about 10,000 scanned so far... about two thirds slides, and the rest printed images, which go back to the late 1800s. (See below, this is the kind of thing I'm working on saving and sharing with the rest of a very large family.)

Dear user,

yes for private use you can install SilverFast on more then one computer as long as it is used with one scanner.

Kind regards,
Arne

Thanks you, this is a big help. One relative is very reluctant to lend her share of the family pictures, and she has important photos and documents of our family history.
