Since we get new incremental versions of SF 6 quite often, could you please tell me the correct way to install a new version:
install over old one or deinstall previous (in this case how to proceed exactly ?).
nikon 8000ED, MacOS 9.2, MacOSX and photoshop 7.0.1
Thank you for you attention

This is the same basic question I have. I went on line last night and posted the same concern. No responses yet. Hopefully either you or I will get a response from SF or other Forum users soon :-? .

You should be able to install over the top of the existing version. Doing so retains your preferences, serial number and other odds and ends that you will kick yourself for trashing

Ian is right.

You can install updates on top of the old version and thereby keep your preferences and serial number. When upgrading to a higher version (like v5.x to v6) I would recommend to install into a new folder and evtl. copy the preference files. The serial number would be invalid anyway in this case.
