Still No Fix for SS120/Firewire

Just tried your r18 hoping you gave some effort to correcting a feature that worked in 5.5 and broke in 6.0. What's the hold up here? Your web site still indicates that this is supported, I have been duped into an upgrade which is a total waste of time and my hard earned money.

Seems not much time or energy was spent on testing this new version given the number of posting regarding features that are broken from the previous version. Please provide some honest projections when this broken feature might be corrected. No more excuses, no more insulting postings from the president in defensive mode and no more lip service - an honest answer please.

Lastly, you really need to alter the Polaroid SS120 supported information to properly reflect that the SS120/Firewire is not yet supported. If you had done your due diligence, I would not be writing this note.

Kent,

It might help if you indicated the Oerating System that you are using!

I use the SS120 with Mac OS X and can assure you that it has been working with SilverFast 6

Dear Kent,

please send an e-mail to support@silverfast.de with the usual necessary information (OS, SF version, etc.). SilverFast supports the polaroid SS120 scanner under firewire. Just at the moment, I am making a scan on Windows 2000  . Anyway, I hope our support team will successfully help you so solve the problem.

Best regards.

Thomas

Sorry for the ommission, I had posted this problem several weeks ago.

I can confirm that 6r18 on a Mac 9.2.2 DOES NOT WORK when trying to use a Polaroid SS120 via Firewire. This worked in 5 and 5.5 and is now broken in 6.

Dear Kent,

you are right. SF sometimes does not manage to find the SS120 when it is connected via FireWire on Mac OS9. This problem does not occur every time, that is why it passed the tests.

We are working on this issue. If you cannot wait, please contact our sales department sales@silverfast.de.

Thanks for detecting the problem.

Best regards.

Thomas
