Frame size for slide scanning

I am considering a purchase of a Plustek 8200i Ai with SilverFast. Most of my slides are either 35mm half frame (single frame) or 127. Is it possible to create and save a frame that will scan only the image area of those slides?
Thanks,
Bill

Dear Bill
Yes of cause you can freely define the area to be scanned.
However please be aware that the
Plustek 8200i is a pure 35mm scanner and not designed for scanning 127 film.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Thanks, Arne. That was a typo on my part. The slides are 126. I understand that I can select the size of the frame to be scanned. Can that size be saved for half frame and 126 and be called back each time those slides are scanned? Or, will I have to redefine the scan area each time I use the scanner?

Dear Bill,
ah OK.
You can save frame sets in SilverFast
Ai Studio.
There the option is available in the Frame menu.
It allows you to define, save and recall a frame.
The smaller
SE and
SE Plus unfortunately do not offer this feature.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
