LaserSoft Imaging

According to Epson 2450 instructions, the Launch button can be configured to launch Adobe Elements, but how about Silverfast? I can only find the program under Elements plug-ins folder, why can't I install the stand alone program and find the program under Start/Programs. It already displays under Add/Remove programs as an installed program? I have read FAQ so I have the right exe program installed, I think! However one indicates it is a plug-in and the other a twain. Thanks for any advice.
Am I installed correctly and is Silverfast a plug-in or not?

SilverFast is a Plug-in. On Photoshop Elements 2 the insaller couldn't find the right directory, what is fixed with the current version on the web. You could also install the SilverFast Stand-Alone-Application, with that you could start the Plug-in without starting Photoshop. SilverFast Twain you could install and start from any Hostsoftware, what supports Twain input.
